Adding Money to your Oxygen Account
There are six ways you can transfer money to your Personal or Business deposit accounts.
Direct Deposit (fastest)
There are three ways to set up your direct deposit.
1. Pinwheel (automatic direct deposit)
2. Direct deposit form
3. Employer portal
To add funds via Pinwheel, tap “Add funds” in the Overview tab and choose “Direct Deposit”. If you’re adding your payroll to Oxygen for the first time, tap the “find employer” button. You will be directed to use your employer or income providers login information to set up your direct deposit automatically. Choose “Full paycheck” or “Specific amount” depending on your preference, edit and tap “Confirm”. Once your employer/income provider processes the change, it may still take 1 to 2 payroll cycles to take effect.
To add funds via direct deposit form, choose More\Direct deposit\Create a new form\Add employers name and choose either Full Paycheck or Part\Proceed to signature\Sign your name\Confirm. This form can be shared with your employer or income provider to have your paycheck deposited into your Oxygen account.
To add funds via the employers’ portal, you’ll need your routing and account number. You can find your routing and account numbers in the Oxygen app by going to More\Account numbers. Input the routing and account numbers into your employers’ HR software. You should receive funds in your account at the time of your next paycheck.
External Bank Account Via Plaid
To add funds via an external bank, Tap on Accounts\Add New Account\Connect Bank Account.
Tap continue and search for your bank name. Choose your bank and enter your external bank account’s username and password.
Oxygen uses Plaid to link your external bank account. It's secure and private to help ensure encryption of your personal information and financial data. Your credentials will never be made accessible to Oxygen.
You will receive a notification that your account was instantly connected. Tap continue.
Once your external account is connected via Plaid you can now add funds to your Oxygen account.
You can add funds three different ways:
- In the overview tab, tap Add Funds\Transfer from bank account\select account\enter amount\continue\confirm
- In the accounts tab, tap Personal or Business deposit account\Add Funds\select account\enter amount\continue\confirm
- In the overview tab, tap Transfer funds\select your From and To account\continue\enter amount\continue\confirm
*Transfers may take up to 5 business days to post to your account*
If you get an error when using the Oxygen app to transfer money from a linked external account or your bank is not listed on Plaid, try logging into the external account and transferring the money from there. To do this, you may need your Oxygen account number and routing number, which you can find under More\Account number.
Oxygen does not charge any transfer fees.
Payment Apps (such as Paypal, Venmo, Cash App)
To add funds via a payment app you’ll need your routing and account number or Oxygen Visa Debit Card.
You can find your routing and account numbers by going to More\Account numbers. To find your Oxygen Visa Debit Card information choose More\My cards. Copy the numbers.
Next, log into the payment app of your choice and find the option for payment methods. Add your Oxygen bank routing and account numbers or Oxygen debit 16 digit permanent account number (PAN). Follow the recommended steps to connect your information. Once connected, you should be able to create a transfer to your Oxygen account.
Please note that some external bank account may perform a penny test–this means that your bank provider will send a small and specific sum of money to your Oxygen account, which you will have to confirm, before transferring the entire sum. This may affect the arrival time of your deposit into your Oxygen account.

You will need your Oxygen account and routing numbers, which can be found by going to More\Account numbers.
Mobile Check Deposit
Now through the Ingo check deposit feature, you’ll be able to deposit checks within the Oxygen app as long as you have an active Oxygen Visa Debit Card.
To cash a check from the app, choose More\Cash a check\Scan a check (this will connect you with Ingo’s feature home page). From there, follow the prompts by scanning a clear photo of both the front and back of the check and input the amount of the check.
You can choose to deposit the check in minutes for a small fee and immediately have access to those funds (standard fee is 2% for payroll and government checks with a pre-printed signature and 5% for all other accepted checks, with a $5.00 minimum fee per check.) or by the standard 10 business days for free.
